Preparation
1) Cut and clean the lamb pieces in a bowl.
2) Cut onions and chillies length wise and finely
3) Roast pepper corn and poppy seeds and grind them into a fine powder and keep it aside
4) Clean and cut coriander leaves roughly
Cooking Process
1) In a deep bottom pan add lamb pieces, cut onions, chillies, ginger/garlic paste, chilli powder, tumeric and salt to taste and mix well
2) Add very little water and cook the mixture for about 25 minutes or till the meat is about tender making sure the water is completely drained
3) Heat oil in a deep frying pan and add the cooked lamb mixture and fry for 5 – 8 minutes in a medium flame
4) Then add garam masala , grinder pepper powder and cut coriander and fry for another 7-8 minutes
5) Serve with plain rice and Rasam
6) Also goes well with Indian Mixed Vegetable Rice
* Poppy Seeds – Optional, since in some countries it is considered as a drug but in indian cooking it is used in non veg dishes.
